The Multicultural Human Services program of NVFS provides multicultural mental health services that address the mental health needs of low-income, English-limited immigrants and refugees for whom existing services are inaccessible due to language and cultural barriers. Clients include individuals from all cultural and ethnic groups whose mental health and stability is compromised as a result of trauma, poverty, chronic stress, and other tremendous challenges posed by the process of cultural adjustment. Services addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management, loss and trauma are offered in variety of modalities, such as individual, couples, group and family therapy.

The Anger Management Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating 8 week long Anger Management psycho-educational group sessions. These sessions are conducted 6 times a year. The incumbent will conduct telephone assessment of client needs to determine appropriateness of participation with the group. Availability to work in evenings when group sessions are conducted is required.

Education and experience required:

  • Masters degree from an accredited school of Social Work/Psychology/related field required.
  • Relevant intake/interviewing experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual ability in English/ Spanish preferred.

This is an Hourly position (approximately 8 hours per week, 48 weeks per year) located in Oakton and/or Falls Church.
