Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS), a private, non-profit human service organization, has been dedicated to strengthening families since 1924. Serving the Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William areas, Northern Virginia Family Service works to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to promote community cooperation in responding to family’s needs.  

Early Head Start is a federally funded community-based program serving low-income expectant mothers and families with infants and toddlers.  The goal of the Early Head Start program is to stimulate parent involvement in the development of their children, as well as involvement in program governance and in the community, in order to strengthen families and break the cycle of poverty. 

We are currently seeking a Program Supervisor for the Loudoun County Office.  Program Supervisors manage the daily operations of their department which identifies and assesses client and family needs; supervise family support workers; coordinate service delivery to ensure that client needs, program goals and contact objectives are effectively met.  The position will supervise program staff including regular individual and group staff meetings and case consultation; ensure proper client-to-staff ratio and monitor case files for quality and completeness. 

Education and experience required:

·         Master’s degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Development, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred. 

·         Bachelor’s degree with two years of related work experience required.

·         Prefer two years related work experience in case management and working with families.

This is a Part-time (30 hours per week) position located in Sterling, VA
