OAKTON, VA, November 21, 2023 – On Wednesday, November 15, Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) honored the winners of its 2023 CARE (Companies As Responsive Employers) Awards at a special reception at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner/Innovation Gallery. More than 150 people representing companies and nonprofit organizations from across Northern Virginia were in attendance.
Since 1992, the CARE Awards have recognized exceptional companies that are proactively making the Washington, D.C. region a better place to work, live, and play through their outstanding employee cultures, emphasis on employee wellbeing, adapting to a new world of working, deep community engagement practices, flexible work environments, and efforts and policies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“For more than 30 years, the CARE Awards have spotlighted the outstanding culture and employee engagement strategies that create the best places to work across the greater Washington region,” Stephanie Berkowitz, president and CEO of Northern Virginia Family Service. “I’m honored to formally present this year’s CARE Awards to 22 exemplary employers as we not only celebrate the meaningful impact they make in our communities but also how their supportive, inclusive, and equitable policies and work environments are strengthening our region.”
