Getting a Head Start on Reading, Crafting and Even Finances!
Our littlest clients at Early Head Start and Head Start experienced the power of reading, crafting and play!
Thank you to the following organizations:
- Teresa and Joel Kaplan of Kaplan Family Foundation for Children’s Literacy for uplifting the children at Head Start with a reading celebration and for giving the gift of a brand new book for each child to take home to read with their parents.
- United Bank for teaching the children about the power of money and saving through a presentation and game utilizing coins.
- Turner Construction for selecting Head Start for their annual Paint the Town Blue initiative. The children loved reading a book about butterflies and crafting their very own butterfly to practice symmetry.
- TD Bank for playing games of Bingo and Twister at Head Start, and reading the book “The Day the Crayons Quit” with the children.
