Amy joined NVFS through the merger with SCAN of Northern Virginia in January 2025. She originally came to SCAN in May 2017 as Director of CASA and served as SCAN’s Chief Executive Officer at the time of the merger. Before relocating to Virginia, she worked at Bergen County CASA in New Jersey as a CASA Case Supervisor.
Amy has spent her career in nonprofit leadership focused on supporting children and families involved in the child welfare system due to abuse and neglect. While in New Jersey, she developed programming and support for youth aging out of foster care, building a strong passion for serving this particularly vulnerable population and helping them transition successfully into adulthood.
Her experience includes leading teams, shaping strategy, and helping organizations navigate the complexity of child protective services work. She is known for building strong working relationships across agencies, community partners, and public systems to keep services coordinated and focused on children’s needs.
