Building strong family foundations from the very beginning
The earliest years of a child's life shape everything that follows — and they can be the most demanding for parents.
Healthy Families is a free, voluntary home-visiting program that provides new and expectant families with support, skills, and confidence to build safe, nurturing homes.
Our trained family support specialists visit families regularly — in their own homes, in their language — to promote healthy child development, strengthen parent-child relationships, and prevent abuse and neglect.
What to expect
Getting started is simple. A staff member conducts an initial interview to assess eligibility and connect your family with any additional community resources you may need.
Once enrolled, a dedicated family support specialist will make regular home visits — from pregnancy until your child reaches age 3 or 4, depending on your jurisdiction.
We are proud affiliates of Healthy Families America.

Thank you to our program partners who help us ensure that families in Northern Virginia thrive!
