 A safe space to begin again

There are more than 40,000 survivors of torture in our region — each with a unique journey of resilience. Many are immigrants and refugees navigating complex systems and language barriers as they rebuild their lives in a new country.

We partner with survivors to help them reclaim their autonomy and wellbeing — providing specialized, trauma-informed care in a safe and welcoming space where healing can begin.

Our services address the whole person: mental health, medical needs, legal protection, and social stability. All delivered by a team trained in culturally competent care, in your language.

Who qualifies for PSTT services?

PSTT serves survivors who experienced deliberate harm — physical or psychological — carried out or sanctioned by a government official or authority figure. This includes survivors of state-sponsored torture, persecution, and politically motivated violence.

Eligibility is defined by the Torture Victims Relief Act of 1998.
