From Escala to the Entrepreneurship Program 

• 2001: Founded through a collaboration between the Hispanic Committee of Virginia, the Community Business Partnership, and the Women's Business Center.
• 2012: The Hispanic Committee merged with Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS), integrating our program into NVFS’s dynamic Workforce Development division. 
• 2015: Became known as Escala, establishing ourselves as Northern Virginia’s premier Spanish-language business resource, recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA), Fairfax County EDA, and the Virginia Department of Business Assistance.
• 2025: Rebranded as the Entrepreneurship Program, and expanded into a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) initiative.
• 2026 and beyond: Proudly serve entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and ethnicities, delivering the vital technical assistance needed to transform business dreams into thriving realities.
