For nearly a decade, Apple Federal Credit Union has shown up for NVFS and the neighbors we serve — not just through generous financial support, but through hands-on volunteerism and authentic relationships built across our programs.
Every year, Apple Federal Credit Union volunteers bring their signature enthusiasm to NVFS events, from the Fall Food Drive and Head Start Family Picnic to the Head Start Holiday Party — where their team (often dressed as cheerful elves) helps fill the room with joy for children and families. Each month, volunteers can be found at the Hunger Resource Center, assembling food packages and preparing and delivering bagged lunches to ensure families have access to essentials.
Their engagement also reaches directly into NVFS classrooms. Apple Federal Credit Union staff visit Head Start programs to lead activities, read with children, and provide materials that bring learning to life. And through financial literacy and budgeting workshops, they help equip families and staff with tools for greater long-term stability.
