Thank you to longtime supporters of NVFS, Freddie Mac, for volunteering this month by tackling one of our Hunger Resource Center’s biggest freezers. Armed with coats and gloves, Freddie Mac volunteers unloaded the freezer’s contents, sorted and checked for food past its expiration, and placed everything back into the freezer. They also started the process of assembling one of three compost bins in an effort for SERVE Shelter to lessen our carbon footprint.
